This presentation will discuss the history and genealogical resources in the Firelands (also known as Sufferer’s Lands)-western counties of the Western Reserve in north central Ohio, covering present day Erie and Huron Counties and also Danbury Township in Ottawa County and Ruggles Township in Ashland County. Topics will includes migration and early settlements. In addition to local government records and other original records published resources include the Firelands Pioneer, local histories, biographies and others.
